Distance uses the haversine formula on the WGS-84 mean radius. Ascent and descent apply a 3 m hysteresis threshold, because raw barometric samples otherwise inflate climbing on flat ground. Moving time counts only segments above 0.5 m/s. Parsing, analysis and conversion all happen in your browser — your location history is never uploaded.

The analysis panel computes total distance with the haversine formula, cumulative ascent and descent, minimum and maximum elevation, moving versus elapsed time, average and moving pace, and — for tracks that carry timestamps — a per-kilometre split table, which is the part most GPS exports leave out. It also lists every waypoint with coordinates and elevation. Convert the result to GPX, KML, GeoJSON or a plain CSV of points, or trim the track to a distance range before exporting to cut off the drive to the trailhead. Everything is parsed and converted in your browser, so your location history is never uploaded.
