STL · OBJ · PLY · GLTF · GLB — rendered on your device, never uploaded
Drag to orbit, scroll or pinch to zoom, right-drag to pan. Volume is the signed-tetrahedron sum over every triangle, so it is exact for a closed mesh and only meaningful as an estimate for one with holes. Loading, measuring and exporting all happen in your browser with three.js — no model is ever uploaded.
3D Model Viewer & Converter opens STL, OBJ, PLY, GLTF and GLB files in your browser, lets you orbit and inspect them in shaded, wireframe or x-ray view, reports triangle count, dimensions, surface area, volume and print-material estimates, and exports to STL, OBJ, PLY or GLB. Everything runs locally with three.js.
Open STL, OBJ, PLY, GLTF and GLB files in your browser, orbit around them, and convert between formats without installing a thing. Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom, and switch between shaded, wireframe, flat-normals and x-ray views to check the mesh itself rather than just the silhouette. The measurement panel reports triangle and vertex counts, exact bounding-box dimensions in millimetres, inches and the model's own units, surface area, and the enclosed volume — computed with the signed-tetrahedron method — plus an estimate of how much filament or resin the print would consume and whether it fits on a typical 220 x 220 x 250 mm printer bed. It also flags the classic problems that make a slicer complain: non-manifold edges, inverted faces, and a model that is not sitting on the build plate. Export the result as STL (binary or ASCII), OBJ, PLY or GLB. Everything is parsed and rendered locally with three.js — your models are never uploaded.
This browser-based tool allows you to instantly inspect, measure, and convert 3D model files locally without installing heavy desktop software or uploading sensitive designs to external servers. It provides immediate access to critical mesh statistics—such as volume, surface area, and print material estimates—making it easy to evaluate 3D prints or prepare files for different workflows right in your browser.
Good to know: Very large or complex high-poly mesh files may push browser performance limits compared to dedicated native desktop applications.
Learn how to open, inspect, measure, and convert 3D model files directly in your browser without installing software.
Open the 3D model viewer
Navigate to the 3D Model Viewer & Converter tool in your web browser.
Upload your 3D file
Drag and drop your STL, OBJ, PLY, GLTF, or GLB file into the browser to parse it locally.
Inspect and measure the mesh
Orbit around the model, switch between shaded, wireframe, or x-ray views, and review the measurement panel for dimensions, volume, and print estimates.
Export in a new format
Convert and export your finalized model as a binary or ASCII STL, OBJ, PLY, or GLB file.
