Open the Reading Speed Test tool
Navigate to the Reading Speed Test page to load the reading passage and start the assessment timer.
Read the passage at normal pace
Read the provided text naturally from start to finish without skimming to ensure an accurate WPM calculation.
Click the completion button
Immediately click the 'Done' or 'Finish' button once you reach the end of the text to stop the timer.
Answer the comprehension questions
Complete the three follow-up questions to verify that you understood the material rather than just scanning it.
Review your WPM and benchmarks
Analyze your final words-per-minute score and compare it against typical reading-speed benchmarks provided by the tool.
